WELCOME TO FORD COUNTRY

When you turn into Herman Nel's drive way, the first sign that you see is a Route 66 sign and underneath that, a sign that says "Ford Country".
You are about to enter the domain of a true Ford enthusiast and collector of old vintage motor cars, old tractors, old engines and scale models.

 

This Old Car Haven Museum has numerous examples of Old Ford as well as non Ford motor cars.

The 5 Lincolns dating from a 1923 Lincoln L 7 seater, to a 1969 Lincoln Convertible Mk2 are all in excellant condition and are well maintained.


The 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 gained a new design and top trim. The new design which was typical of the 50's was longer, lower, and wider with a new 118 inch wheelbase. The 1957 Thunderbird was to be the last two-seater Ford ever built and sold to the public until the 1982 Ford EXP sport compact car.

It is interesting to note that the first Ford motor car ever to be sold outside of America was sold to a South African, Mr Arthur Youldon of Johannesburg.
